| Wyndham Hotel Group Migrates Key Application to Oracle Database |
ANTs software inc. (OTCBB:ANTS), a leader in database consolidation solutions, today announced that Wyndham Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest integrated hotel franchise and management companies, became the first ANTs customer to go live with the ANTs Compatibility Server (ACS) in a commercial production application.
Wyndham Hotel Group chose ACS for its ability to quickly and easily migrate a 3,000-user, tier one revenue generating call center application to the Oracle database. Wyndham will realize savings on software and hardware by fully utilizing their existing Oracle databases and Sun servers.

He added, “We are especially pleased with the smooth changeover. There was no disruption to our end users and since the application interface used by our call center personnel will not be altered, there is no need to train our personnel on a new application system.”

Looking ahead, we plan to broaden ACS to allow migration from the other major databases to the Oracle database. We are also working on adding other migrations that one day will allow companies to move between any database.”

ANTs is currently working with several companies to use ACS to migrate applications from proof of concept into production.
The ANTs Compatibility Server is a middleware solution that allows application code –queries, stored procedures, and functions – from legacy databases to run natively and transparently against the new target database with minimal to no application rewriting and recompiling. The application operates as if it were still communicating with the original database, while the new Oracle database operates as if it were communicating with a native application.
